An important part of the Outer Banks music scene for more than 30 years, Laura Martier’s ability to sing and interpret everything from jazz to soul to country has made her a compelling artist. Most people have been introduced to her through her many live performances at a number of local venues. One of the most memorable came in 2013 when she took on the role of Patsy Cline at the now closed Jubilee Theater in Kitty Hawk. Laura currently divides her time between Nosara, Costa Rica, North Carolina, and touring. Drawing from a rich tapestry of influences and experience, Martier's work is in constant development as her commitment to curiosity about herself and the world around her and to cultivate her most authentic voice, keeps her moving forward into the magic of music and creativity. In addition to being a professional vocalist and musician, Laura is a Sound Healer, Gong Master, 200RYT certified yoga teacher, coowner of The Well Yoga Co-op, and freelance writer who utilizes her gifts in order to bring an authentic expression of her heart into the world.
